Alright so I already redesigned and rewrote Osana on my other account (and I'll post it here later) but I'll put Oka here instead.

To sum up the changes to Yan Sim- the game is now called "Delusions- A Yandere Simulator". Ayano is a delusional girl that wants to axe her competitors for her senpai's heart but she isn't soulless. In fact, to gain the confidence to kill or hurt her rivals, she need to imagine that they are all some stereotype because stereotypes are easier to dehumanize than people.

To get the true ending, Ayano must dig into each of the rivals' past via a specific (pacifistic) elimination and find out who they truly are while still getting rid of the rival. And for Oka, her true elimination is matchmaking.

Oka is still the fourth rival of the game. (I disclaim this because I moved Osana to the fifth rival) She created the "Mythos Club" (instead of the Occult club) because she and her friends are all very into different types of mythology and religious, including some occult stuff. (So think all the occult stuff from canon Oka but also add an interest in Greek mythology, Japanese yokai, English fairytales, Paganism, etc. She's a bit of a history nut)

At first, Ayano could only see her as the "Creepy Occult Girl" but as she tries to matchmake her, she'll see the full extent of Oka's mythos interest. Now the expected love interest would be Shin Higaonna since he's her second in command but no, he only sees Oka as a sort of little sister.

This is where the drama club dude comes in. Tsuruzo Yamazaki is the temporary leader of the Drama Club but by the time Oka is a rival, Kizana has returned and, unless you killed her, she takes back the role of leader. Tsuruzo is the actual love interest of Oka being someone who knew her from childhood and was always fascinated by her interested and enamored by her passion and ability to reach out to likeminded people despite being so anxious. As younger kids, they bonded over the overlap of dramas and mythos, only separated because middleschoolers are assholes and bullied Oka out of school.

Tsuruzo is afraid of consequences of a drama club member and a mythos member even talking to each other so he doesn't interact with her. He doesn't want his own reputation hurt nor does he want Oka to be put into the spotlight again and bullied out of school.

If the player can set up secret meetings to matchmake the two, they'll get Oka's true route... or... they'll have the perfect ammunition to threaten Oka into silence. After all, in this school full of dramatic, clique-based highschoolers, what's more reputation damaging than a love-scandal?

Hallo! Welcome to my rewrite! In this post I'll be explain the basics of the rewrite and some changes (Not including the student name changes, I'll do them club by club)

✿Aiihoro - Buraza and Shisuta, decided to make them one town instead of two.

✿Munenori Senior Academy - Akademi, the schools in Aiihoro are named after Samurai

✿Saikou Electronic Corporation - Saikou Corp, made it more specific.

✿Hanako is the same age as the first years but she has age regression. Her and Taro aren't biological siblings and Hanako is actually an orphan that witnessed her parents die and developed age regression.

✿There is an explanation on why the Aishi's have no emotions! The first Aishi's in Japan made a deal with the empty demon to be wealthy resulting in their daughter being emotionless.

✿Ichiko (Megami's aunt) replaces Jokichi as Senpai and is trans fem. Ryoba grows close to her and falls in love.

✿Suitor change! , Chigusa and Ritsuko have new suitors. Chigusa has Ryusei and Ritsuko has Sumiko

✿Magical Girl Pretty Miyuki is a 2000's anime

✿Irl animes exist but extremely weird animes don't, psychological horror animes do exist

I am hopping on the trend of stealing Yandere Dev's characters. So now we have Osana Najimi.

I do have a basic story. Essentially, the new game is "Delusions- A Yandere Simulator" and every character seems to be based on stereotypes but only because Yan Chan can only see them as stereotypes. It's easier to dehumanize a stereotype than it is a fleshed-out human. But if the player chooses to look past the first impression, they'll find the deeper story that Ayano doesn't want to acknowledge.

Osana -now the 5th rival- seems like a bossy tsundere but the first look at something deeper comes from the (surprisingly canon) "I can't believe you overslept again".

If Ayano were to stalk them both, she would learn that Taro has severe depression and often doesn't have the motivation to get out of bed and eat. Osana is the only thing keeping him from oversleeping and being late for school as she takes up the responsibility to care for her childhood friend. Stealing Osana's phone would reveal texts to Taro with words of encouragement, kindness, and validation. It's no wonder Taro would eventually fall for the girl who showed him so much unconditional love.

Every rival now has a permanent consequence for murdering them on Taro. Killing Osana will cause Taro to be permanently late for school and even miss a few days as Osana was the one waking him up on time. This will decline his grades by 10%. It will also cause a 20% decline in his health. If his health declines past 50% a new rival is unlocked, same if his grades suffer too much. And if his health declines past 70% Taro will become too ill to be at school, resulting in a game over.

Honestly she’s a cutie and I love her

Anyways my take on yan sim, keeping in mind I can’t and won’t make this a game, would be

1, making all the characters a bit more diverse and interesting

2, taking out all the weird creepy shit the creep insisted on in this game

3, changing the setting because I don’t know shit about Japan and this is a project for funsies

4, focus more on the different choices Ayano can make, whether it’s befriending her rivals, killing them, or manipulating situations to get them in trouble or disliked by the “Senpai” (he will NOT be called that). As well as focusing on different endings, where you can get with “Senpai” in a heathy, or non healthy way, or just straight up not get with him at all.

i'm in childhood hyperfix hell. here's osana. there's not much changed since i adore her character a lot, she is very endearing to me. main difference is that she's the second rival after kokona, and raibaru is her suitor rather than that one npc

Ayano Rewrite

From childhood, Ayano was told that her purpose in life was to find a boyfriend. Ryoba made her think that in order to feel emotions, she needed someone next to her.

Ayano has imposed on herself that she cannot feel emotions, that she has none. As a result, Ayano grew up as an introvert, unable to process emotions. In society, because of her isolation and inability to communicate with people, she was treated like an autistic person or a child who needed to be explained and shown everything.

No matter how distant she may be, from the very beginning she does not feel anger or hatred towards anyone. The more aggressive people are towards her, the more she shrinks into herself and responds with the same anger.

Below I have attached my old (or not so old) drawing of Ayano, which I drew back in November. Perhaps a little later I will add more details about Ayano
